Subject: RE: Use pavuk wget plus more

I need to mirror a locally-generated site to a web server that doesn't have MySQL, I tried using wget but had the same problem as everyone else, all the links were broken....

Decided to give Pavuk a try, and problem solved!! It runs from the command line like wget, and also has a GTK interface which may be handy for interactive use.

As described in the FAQ, the following command line will replace the offending characters with an underscore:

% pavuk -tr_chr_chr '?&*' _ http://www.blah.com/etc

It works like magic, the mirrored site has all the links rewritten and works indistinguishably from the dynamic site. Thanks pavuk you saved my project and my hair!!

Get pavuk here...
