Subject: Re: A better way of doing (that works)

Hello everyone,

Finally figured out how to get around our dependence on that localhost/local/ directory when using Win2K/Apache2/PHP4+
One of the other user's suggestions works:
http://www.phpbuilder.com/annotate/message.php3?id=1007229

However, to create the SymLink that Apache wants under Win2k requires Microsoft's "linkd" tool. Under 2k/XP/NT, linkd create what the Microsofties calls a 'junction', or in other words, the SymLink we are looking for.

I don't know if there are any security concerns surrounding in this method, and would appreciate anyone elses comments.

I've attached my configs below -- see for yourself!

httpd.conf:
--------------------------------
LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so

<Directory "D:/www/">

<VirtualHost 127.0.0.1>
