This is moderately complex to set up at first. However, since it is is multi-site, once it is set up, you can easily offer Printer Versions for several sites.

Clickability.com has a whole business model around this for sites like CNN.com

I wrote it especially for sites that already exist as just HTML, or that do not use a Header/Footer.

This way, since you only need to add the <!--startclickprintinclude--> and <!--endclickprintinclude--> around your content and then a link that does not have to be customized for each page, you can use a "Find and Replace" to automatically add the printer version throughout the whole site quickly.

That's why I did it in the first place. I agree, other methods are definately superior if you are going to build a site from the ground up with a "Printer Version" in mind.
