Subject: Procedural/Object Brothers - are we not one?

I have been reading through the submission on PHP5 and it's new features.

Guys/Girls are we not still taolking about the same old language we have come to love.

At no point have zend said they will not allow the development of procedural pages. It would be crazy for them to lose the massive procedural base of programmers who have chosen PHP because it is free and quick to learn and powerful.

However they have needed to provide more support for the enterprise market which have started to look at PHP, from version 4, as a valid development language for there websites.

we are talking about a set of OO directives as the major change and I haven't seen anything saying we are removing support for the following...

Nothing stands still especially software development.
