On my Windows XP (home version) machine, I just installed the latest releases of Apache, PHP, and mySQL appropriate for my OS. I get the Apache splash page at http://localhost/. I can start and stop mySQL, but I cannot run a PHP page. I think I've changed everything in php.ini and httpd:conf files, and probably something I shouldn't have. Up until about 10pm last night, I was at least getting the html portion of my test.php page. Now, I don't get anything. I was using Notepad, so no multiple undos or undo past save. I installed NoteTabPro which has those features, but don't know for sure what I messed up.

I have restored these files to the origionals.

As I look through my documentation. I cannot find information install info about the versions I am using. Here are the files I downloaded:

Apache - apache_2.0.40-win32-x86-no_ssl.msi
PHP - php-4.2.3-Win32.zip
mySQL - mysql-3.23.52-win.zip

Can someone tell me what to change/add to the httpd:conf and php.ini files and exactly where to put the php.ini file. Each install instruction I read has something set just a little different AND I have conflicting info on where to put the php.ini file. Right now I have it in c:\Windows\ folder.

Paths:

c:\Apache\Apache2\
c:\php\
c:\mysql\

tnx,
Alisa

I don't know what I did, but I reset those files and voila, it worked. Don't ask my why, cause I don't know.

Thanks,
