Hi,

I am having trouble setting Apache up as a service on Windows XP Home Edition. I want to get Apache to start up when windows does.

I currently have to start Apache each time I want to access it.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

There are instructions on the Apache site on how to install the httpd as a service under NT/2000 - did they not work for you on XP? Also, is it XP Home or Pro?

Have you tried Start>Run>services.msc
Select the Apache2 service and check to see if what your Startup type is Automatic/Manual/Disable and change accordingly
