JS That makes little sense. piersk 01-20-2003, 05:47 AM Not sure how many people know this, but PHPBuilder is now owned by internet.com. As part of their contracts, the only job adverts that are allowed are from one particular company. Having job adverts would mean that internet.com are in breach of their contracts. In reply to Techmonkey, have a look at sites such as Freelance Network (http://www.freelancers.net) or Rentacoder (http://www.rentacoder.com) if you are looking for freelancers. Yup I remember when this happened to Flashkit.com. Internet.com took over and immediately disconitnued the jobs forum so that Dice.com didn't face competition from within the Internet.com network of sites. Problem with this is that the jobs board at FK was mostly about very short term freelance work. Is Dice.com the place to go for a 100 dollar script? A 50 dollar logo? Of course not. In fact Dice.com does not cater to the freelance market at all, even for larger jobs. I had found a lot of jobs on Flashkit, and hired a few people too. Now I don't use that site much anymore. Much of its utility has been lost. This is another case of misguided, blanket corporate policies negatively affecting the end user. And is Dice.com benefiting? I dunno any ond day, $250 scripting positions on there? jstarkey 01-20-2003, 03:02 PM Techmonkey, I'm trying to find a compromise for both sites. I sent out a proposal to my boss last week that might be a happy medium. He's passed it on to the person who can make the decision. We'll see. PHP Builder
