I saw on the forum description that this is where general chat and introductions happen so I'm just introducing myself :)
I'm a new member here and I think these forums are great. I see there are lots of talented coders here and I've bookmarked a few of the threads as a future reference.
This place is excellent :) You'll be seeing me around here more often :)

Welcome!
I think you'll find these boards to be very helpful and the people are very knowledgeable and friendly too.
I believe there are also a lot of other Aussie's floating around here too :D
Cheers,

Howdy!
Just kidding, I really don't know many Texans that actually say that. Welcome, I've been pulled out of the fire by several kind people from Australia recently.
I've only been learning php for a few months, but it's funny that 25 years ago I started out typesetting on a Compugraphics and the code looks almost the same.
guess it's true that what goes around comes around....
Glad to meet you,
Kathy

hey, im a n00b here too, so and i figured why throw another thread up saying "Look at me, im new", so ima just put mine in here ;)
I'm from houston Texas, and kathy i do use howdy on ocasion (mainly as a joke..lol). I've been (very) slowly learning php over the last 6 months or so, I'm really into File sharing and the politics surounding Digital Rights Managment software (copyright protection), pretty much anything else that affects our privacy / what we can/cant do while we're online. I run a file sharing portal that delivers news and reviews of the newest ways to get music, as well as interviewing the developers of the software. I also casionaly make small contributions to the p2p community by releasing various plugins for different p2p applications (some of which include nappyreg, which when used w/ napigator (http://www.napigator.com) allows you to still use napster (im running napster 2.0 beta 5 right now) it does this by cracking napsters password encryption algo. and writing the "hashed" password to the registry, opennap config win, basicly a small app that modifys the opepnnap server config files through a nice gui, and there are a few others)...anyway i ran across this site on google (was one of the first couple links) and started reading some of the threads and liked it, so i'm thinking of sticking around for a while...

I hope you decide to stick around O Monkey of Evil, we have a lot of fun on the boards. Usually I don't have to post because someone else is asking the same questions! I'm a commercial artist turned web mistress out of evolution so I usually go for the replies that use small words and short sentences...lol
Actually I live in a small Czech town, so I should say "jas se mas!"
