Hi fellow PHP developers,

It's not long since I created a new PHP website for the PHP Community and, would like to get some of your ideas for new features. I have many ideas for the site including chat, code of the day, tips of the day, jokes of the day, weekly compitition and visitors showcase.

What would you like to see on a PHP Website ??

What do you think of it so far ? PHP-Editors.com (http://php-editors.com)

Well what level of PHP'ers are you looking at. Is it all, or newbie.
Now i dont really look at tutorials, but you could have suggestions of good books, and maybe some tuts for newbies. As they are the ones mainly looking for tutorials.

Also links to things like the Manual.
and MySQL

maybe the best tutorial of all would be a New Up to date version of learning how to configure Apache and set it all up including PHP and Mysql. To make it easier for people have links to where your version you used in the tutorial.

Other than that, maybe a jobs posting section but i dont think to many will post jobs.

Other than that the site looks pretty good.

yeah, if you could make a book review part that reviews all the books (all the good ones anyway). I always have trouble trying to choose computer books and always have to read ammazon.com's reviews, but they are normally full of wannabes just posting to get more recognition.

Looks good so far :). In my opinion, a website with advanced content needs a feeling of relaxation, content should be easy to read, and adverts need to be kept to a minimum. The last thing you want as a coder, after 4 hours of programming, at 2am, to be faced with a flashing CLICK HERE advert, or a swamp of links. Hope that helps :).

I would like to have a books review part Seegy87, and hoepfully I will get time to create something soon. I really need to prioritise feature right now.
LukeO, I take your point about the adverts, and to be honest it's a trial, I need to try and get some money to help pay for the hosting, time ect. Im planning to test out the adverts for a few months and then decide if they work or not.

Here are my plans:
Next will be a featured editors section, were I feature a couple of Editors (Free, Commercial and Shareware), I will try and get mixed platforms in there too.
I then plan to add a Links Manager Section, were users can post there favourite site.
Next will be scripts, I plan to have really high quality scripts in this part (not your usual mix of quality). I am considering having the option for users to sell their script through the site. What do you think ??
