I can normally do this fine without any problem but today when I've been trying to view the source of what's been outputted to the browser it won't let me. Is there some tab I need to check or something?
Thanks
Rob

Never heard of that. Did you try
Tools > internet options > advanced > restore defaults
?

Can you view->source? Can you right click and "View Source"? If not, I'd say contact Microsoft and tell them about any changes you may have made.

I had this happen to me for a bit and then with the latest patch to explorer it went away

you can go to file then "edit with notepad" and it should work because this has happened to me before. tools > internet options > advanced > restore defaults should work too

You could try cleaning out the browser temp files.

Also make sure you have sufficient disk space, low space on your C drive can cause strange things like this.

I've had that before a few times, I usually solve it by clicking on VIEW (in the toolbar) then goto SOURCE.

some sites actually disable the popup menu or just disable the view source option when you click the right mouse button, which is a pretty cool effect.
