dynamically create movies?

Does anyone know if there is a function / library that creates movies, or a function / library that can be convinced to.
More to the point I am looking to see if there is a way to ake animations from groups of files?
The output of the file isnt important (swf, avi, mpg..) just as long as it is saveable.

Yeah, you can do SWFs (Flash) using libswf (http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.swf.php).
