After watching her do Martha Stewart on monday, I realized how much I miss the old gal.
I remember in the pilot for Moonlighting, when she's just finding out she's poor because her accountant scrammed with her money, she's handling a very upset chef, who say "This glass bowl!!!" then slams it to floor where it breaks into a million pieces. "No bouncy!!! This check! A bouncy bouncy bouncy."
I hope to see her on TV again someday. and of course in my bed. Well, maybe only one of those will remain a fantasy, eh?

Pretty sure the TV thing could come true, but I wouldn't hold your
breath on the bed thing will come true
well maybe it will since you will be in bed when you are dreaming
about her, good luck on this one

But you know who I really miss is Charlie's Angels, the originals
anyway, they were so corny that they were great

Yeah, think how many girls in the 70s and early 80s went to the hair dresser and said "Make me look like Farrah".
But now we're talking about things only about 5% of this board remembers, because a huge number of the folks here were born to late to appreciate the art that was in that cheesy 70s jiggle fest.
I'll just keep hoping Cybill is a closet PHP coder and will see my post and decide to reward such a loyal fan. yeah, uh huh. sure. :-)

hehe. Even I had farrah hair back in the day. :-)
I loved her in Taxi Driver, but The Last Picture Show was my favorite work of hers from that era.
I just noticed looking through imdb that she did Moonlighting in 1985, then Cybill in 1995, so, if things continue this way, we'll have a new series on TV in a year or two with her.

OK, this may be old, but everyone has to remember
Daisy Dukes
had a crush on her back in the day
but boy has she gone downhill

I have a theory that meaty women hold up better over time. (PS I stole the "meaty women" line from president "Ford" in futurama when he's talking about Clinton's attraction to Leela.)
Seriously, as cute as Daisy Dukes was, she had a flat butt compared to say, Cybill Shepherd.
I think it has something to do with dieting to stay thin wearing away the undercarriage or something.
You can probably guess I prefer round to flat. :)

i think this could be somewhat compared to
heating a frog up in a pot of water
or
throwing a frog in boiling water

Lastly. I was just on her web site www.cybill.com and looking about, and looked through the gallery and desk top pics. Nice little site. Visually pleasing, a little "soft focus" kinda vibe.
I remembered an old 1992 or so David Lettermen episode, where Dave asked her about dating Elvis. Apparently she was like 22 and he was like, old enough to be her dad by then, and they apparently wound up being intimate, and Dave asked her why it didn't work out.
C: "Well, you know Elvis liked to eat, right? Fried peanut butter and banana sandwichs, pork chops, all that stuff?"
D: "Yeah?"
C: "Well, there was one thing he wouldn't eat..."
D: "Oh God, this just went downhill fast, didn't it?"

yeah, that may be, but he made more money singing "Kentucky Rain", than most of us will see in our lifetimes
