BB for customisation

Ok, I'm having redesign the website for our campus radio station GU2 (http://www.gu2.co.uk) (coming soon to a browser near you :D ) and I've been asked to integrate some sort of bulletin board into it.

So, my question is, which is the easiest to either a) integrate into a site or b) generally customise?

phpbb looks pretty good. It's GPL, easy to install, and supports both mySQL and PostgreSQL.
