Aaahhhh! I remember a great trip me and a mate had in Holland back in '91. We toured through a number or places in a camper even gatecrashing, unknowingly, a wedding party in Bloemendaal-aan-zee (not too sure about the spelling - sorry).

Ever been to Bussum? There's a great pub there. I think they were selling about 100 different beers when I was there - heaven!

Bloemendaal-aan-zee is spelled correctly if I'm not mistaken :)

That's a John Benfield quote. Sadly, the best thing anyone's going to recognize him in is 101 Dalmations, and he only has a small part in that... :P

Tisk tisk dar-k ;) never take me too serious... I love the Netherlands, but a little sarcasm never killed anyone :)

Hehe good to see some dutchies around here

Oh and tip to all the non-dutchies : never EVER say "Holland" ... But allways say "Netherlands" :) Holland is an area in the Netherlands, like provinces :)...Oh and don't drink "Heineken" though the commercials kick ass, the beer makes your head schrink to the size of a pea :D LoL Instead try Bavaria or Dommelsch :)

Now we're on the subject: what is your favorite brand of beer (no special beers, just plain good ol' fashion beer)

Eerrh..

Enschede actually has 1. It is monumental (As is ugly, small, ...) but it is there.

The best dutch beer? Brand of course. Nice strong taste and not too acid.

Bishop's Finger. It isn't Dutch but it's a fine tasting brew (in case any of you were wondering.)

Britain. I can't say that I've tried any of the other beers mentioned in this thread but you're more than welcome to send a bottle or two over here ;) seeing as there is a lack of decent ale in Japan.
