When I do a df on my Mandrake 7.2 system it tells me that I have a whole bunch of hard drive allocated to /proc.../usb (like 6xx,xxx 1-k blocks). The drive partition was set up by the 'development' auto configuration.

Just wondering if this is just a huge buffer for usb - and if I will not be using usb on this machine, how to get the space back?

Everything in /proc is virtual meaning that it doesn't exist technically and is used by the kernel for doing process management and such. I wouldn't worry about it too much :)
