how do you relay mail form a web server to an externel mail server.

I am using Apache/PHP/Mandrak 9.0

You'll need smtp on the box the mail is originating from.

Can you give more specifics on what you're trying to do.

Sounds to me like you don't really need to relay, but I'm a bit confused on what you're asking.
