installing apache on xp pro

Hi there

Iam running win xp pro with servicepack 1

Is it possible to install apache alongside IIS??
And please tell me how if it is!

I have tried but without succes.
Then I tried to uninstall IIS and install apache but when I try to test, and wrote localhost in my browser the computer rebooted.
I can't find anything of interest i the errorlog, other than it told me the server was shutdown. (as if I didn't know)

please help.
How do I install apache?? It is not nescessary that it is alongside IIS.

I have changed webhotelprovider, and would like to work on my own computer, in the same environment. Apache/php/mysql

if you are a real n00b with php/apache/mysql, i would suggest using an installer to get started, once that is done and you get more experience, then go to the corresponding websites and download the correct files and manually install

anyway, foxserv (http://www.foxserv.net) is the best installer i have seen of all the bundles
