Your normally sourpuss boss/client actually smiled when you showed them the results page from your new search function...
You knew you could handle this assignment, and worked for hours on that script --- and when you tweaked it the 28th time, it worked as advertised!!
You finished the world's greatest app for ______________ , and it's coded in PHP. Now your ISP is complaining that your pipeline's too small to handle the d-loads....
Anything coding-wise made you feel good lately? Post it here ...

Ohhhh yeah..
Just finished an online PHP conference enquiry system (and got paid for it !!) for my employer that was well outside of my job spec.
Oh yeah - and the sourpuss pipe smoking yellowbeard director said "Possibly the best conference enquiry system he has ever seen".....
Still gonna leave this place though....

My latest victory is postgresql over MSSQL. Looks like we may have a whole group of winders developers moving over because the huge monster quad Xeon they're running MSSQL on still can't handle the load (a rather light one in my book) that my dual PIII pgsql box can handle in it's spare cycles (it's an app server, 6 or 7 services running on it, the MSSQL box is JUST a dbase server.)

I wrote a customer service portal in my spare time.... Manager was wandering around uttering "we should have..." "it would be great to..." "what we need is...", apparently thinking that it would just magically appear as a result of such incantations.
Funny this is, this time he was right.
It probably won't get used. This is supposed to be a Microsoft-only shop. So I'll probably just take it away with me. After showing it off to everyone, of course.

WTG, Sxooter ... OS all the way, unless it's BS, which is even better, right?
Et tu, Weedpacket!!! :) BTW, don't forget BuzzLY's advice... (http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?&threadid=10234388&perpage=15&pagenumber=3)
My latest ... partner in big client is *home*, I'm in their office cleaning up functions & features with some other guy doing data entry ... he calls her and mentions I'm in. She says "Oh, let me talk to him..." (cue ominous music)
She goes on for a few about how she doesn't like the site's look (no duh, it's *me*, not DaVinci) and she's concerned we can't debut it by her (personal) launchdate of 8/1/03. The product photos are all different sizes, the site's style doesn't match the old site, borders, text color, etc. (Nevermind that there's an exponentially greater amount of functionality...) I ask her to make a list of what she doesn't like; we'll talk the next time she's in.
Next day she's in her office, and I come in. I sit down and log in; when she gets off the phone, I ask if she has the list. "No, it's just..." and she starts in again...
I open "output.php", change a couple html border statements and throw in a getimagesize() and a while() to make the images appear similarly sized.
"Load this up..." I say.
She looks at it and jumps for joy (literally!)
Dear Lord, I'm grateful I learned how to code!!! </Early Thanksgiving prayer>
Next?? :)

first about buzzly's advice I just bought a 40GB removable USB 2 HDD. :D
second what I am working on (and taking most of my "free" time right now) is a remote game server manager + support center for a major GSP. ****loads of clever SQL (why process something with PHP if you can it done with SQL?)
am tired though.

My fiancee thinks its odd that I actually thoroughly enjoy taking old markup and making it XHTML/CSS/WCAG/508 valid and compliant. Oh well. We all have our odd quirks.
