I have one Internet web hosting. It's just a basic shared web hosting.

I have two domain names. One of the domain names, "www.parkeddomain.com", is parked on the Yahoo! domain parking service. Yahoo!'s domain parking service will let you point visitors to the domain in the direction of another hosting. I have the parked domain name pointing to a subdirectory on my web hosting, "www.primarydomain.com".

My problem is this: When someone types in "www.parkeddomain.com" they get referrered to the subdirectory "subdirectory.primarydomain.com" - which is the way I intend for it to work. However, in the browser address window when they type in "www.parkeddomain.com" they see the URL "subdirectory.primarydomain.com" instead of the "www.parkeddomain.com" domain name.

My question is this: Does anybody know how I can "mask" the browser address window so that visitors see the domain name "www.parkeddomain.com" instead of the subdirectory "subdirectory.primarydomain.com"?

Thanking you in advance.

Hey, I dunno whether this post should be posted here. Anyway, I'll just give a reply.
Point it to a framed file (I mean, using FRAME). Hope that will solve the problems.

If Yahoo is offering this service, then I'd say no, you can't do that. More importantly, I'd say you SHOULDN'T do that. If you have the "wrong" URL in the address bar, it causes a couple of problems. First of all, if the user decides to make that page a home page, or copy the URL to direct someone else to that site, it won't work. Second, if the user refreshes the page, it will refresh back to the home page, rather than just refresh the page they were on. This is VERY frustrating, and when this happens to me, I usually just leave the site.

There is nothing wrong with showing the address the user is on. Unless you have a very compelling reason to mislead them, I would leave it alone.
