This is new...it's a bit annoying in that things that I write have this double-green underlining tooltip popup thing on certain keywords:
the word "server" (probably doing it now) brings up a gateway server tooltip.
I'm all for you guys making some money but this is annoying...I do/did not endorse these products and it makes it seem like 'I' am the one making the product suggestion.
LOSE IT!

there is already a thread about this, in the Feedback Forum about this, jstarkey(our wonderful admin) has already explained that this is a new ad campaign, and he has NO control over it, he merely put it on here as ordered by his boss

200 simultaneous users is the max my web server could handle, and I pay $80 a month.

I think this is outrageous, and borders on an invasion on personal space. I don't like it when a mod or admin edits my post if it's unwarranted -- they are my words. This is even worse. True, once a post is submitted it is public, but still feels like a violation.
From this point forward, if I discover my posts have been turned into an advertisement, I will edit and alter it. I will also boycott ALL ads on this site, and never click one. I'm sorry, but this is my way of protesting what I think is crossing the line. If it goes much beyond this, I may be forced to quit posting here. I love this community, and I am saddened to see it going this direction.
Imagine if you lived in a beautiful neighborhood, and the city started allowing advertisers to place ads on every public surface in your neighborhood? You would protest, and eventually, no matter how much you liked the people around you, you would move.
I sincerely hope Jupiter Media rethinks this decision. Ads are supposed to increase revenue. If you end up alienating your users, you will eventually have nobody to advertise to, and you will lose in the long run. Please stop the madness before it gets out of hand.

Buzz, the keywords will change over time, so there's no real way to prevent it ever happening to your post.

At first, I thought it was an Internet Explorer feature that I forgot to turn off.

I second Buzzly....
Im ok with the banner ads and such.. But when your utilizing your own users comments for money.. It feels like they dont care.. jstarkey no one is aiming at you as its out of your control.. But to keep people here there must be an alternative.... Im not sure why they didnt use Google Adsense.. ive looked at that and have heard some really good talk about it.

Thanks.
Of course, jstarkey has disabled Intellitext for the time being, so the Børkínätør® (http://www.ultimatespin.com/projects/bork.php) is moot. However, it will stay online just in case we need it again :)

Let's make this clear: "jstarkey, under the direction of his superior[s], has disabled Intellitext for the time being ... "
As far as we all know, and I'm sure John will concur, it wasn't his decision to add this "feature"; and its removal wasn't arbitrary, either ...

Yes, sir, I understand that. I simply meant that he was the one that physically made the change to the site.
