Hey all, several of you sent messages letting me know the site was down. Thanks. One of the tables in the DB was corrupted and I didn't have root access to mysql, so I had to wait for the admins.

Actually, I don't mess with table corruption stuff, but it sounds cool when I say that, so please just nod your head in acknowledgment :)

Anyway, it should be all fixed now.

I find that priming the fuel lines and repolarising the transtators helps.

OK, OK, settle down fellers, and let's hear the truth ...

Elizabeth had nothin' to do with the thread I reff'd AFAIK ... I posted a whois which clearly demonstrated that this was some SPAM put up by somebody who wanted to attract an audience to what is probably an "adult dating" site that was put up (DNS registered) on 7/21/03. See, it's "no, I haven't visited..." :)

Yes, most of us are grown-ups here, whatever that means, but it simply didn't seem appropos ... I believe I read somewhere that we should remember this site is publicly accessible, and some newbs may be quite young...

I suppose we can flirt with the Queen of Digression as much as she'll allow, but probably we shouldn't accuse her of posting such refuse, even as a joke ...

She does have a good point, though; amazing how I quote Star Wars and make another observation (re: horny chicks) in the same post, and we choose the latter...

Ummm, am I missing something? She hasn't even posted. :(

I'll avoid the hot horny chicks in the interest of professionalism, but I do have a hot date tonight, does that count? :D

There's a lot more work that needs to be done on this site than the other I run for Jupiter. I can't really jump in and play while other things are needing attention.

Last night I hacked the board on the other site to cause a certain antagonist on that board's posts to be sorted randomly, rather than by date. He didn't quit, so I had it display the post text backwards as well. :D

See, I told you to give it some time and it should all work itself out :D

Nah, I just hadn't had any other complaints until a few hours later and it worked all day, for me.

lol, nah, her and I decided to stop seeing each other and I'm confident that she's one of the rare few that could actually say something like that without thinking first :D
