Hi there!

I coded a forum called eForum which doesn't require DB...

The project is hosted at http://felipelopes.webcindario.com

I'd like you guys to know my project and give me opinions, advices....

Hey - I've just tested it. Works great, is easy to use and haven't found any bugs. User registration system might be a bonus addon. :)

I'm impressed as it works quite quickly which is excellent, as even though it only has a few posts in it, I would have expected it to take slightly longer than it does that the moment.

Thanx Chris!

eForum is being used by a site where it gets 1500+ topics (6500+ messages) with a great perfomance yet!

Hi again,
Good point on security concerns however it looked as thought it had been designed for a non-registered-user base.

What about speed? Its text file powered right?

Thinking about speed, I decided to create a file for each post...It will allow a good performance to show topics.

What might slow eForum a bit down is it main page, because it is taken from a file where all topics are stored (just its links actually)...

BUT, as I said before, I garantee that eForum has a good performance even under high traffic...Although when I first created this forum I thought on a small site forum system...

Concerning security, I think that a well-designed flat-file based script can be secure, with Apache's help...
