Free NetMon connects too..

I use the program Free NetMon to monitor how much bandwidth I use when I am downloading stuff. And I noticed it said I was conntect to this one IP address, so I looked in at my firewal to see what program was connecting to that IP and it was that program(Free NetMon), so thinking maybe it was spyware I in the program or something I used NeoTrace to trace it and it said that it the OrgName was DoD Network Information Center... Whats up with that? DoD, has spyware too? Sorry if I am missing something or am just a complete idiot, just kinda curious whats up. Oh and the program connects to that and other DoD IP's every time it is started...:confused:

It could be contacting a program to do diagnotistics at that ip but its unlikely

What's the precise DoD IP/domain? (DoD NIC is the TLD registry for .mil).

There was a couple, one that I remember is 215.49.81.241 and Neotrace says this:
