I am surprised at the lack of outrage at the laws Martha violated. I always thought lying to anyone anytime was your god-given right unless under oath. Now I guess that if you tell a tall tale, you may be subject you to prison time?

And these guys & girls (congress) are the "representatives of the people". :)

And these guys & girls (congress) are the "representatives of the people". :) I suppose it's a "God given right", inasmuch as He doesn't force our behavior. IMHO, it's a right that shouldn't be exercised, however.

I don't know if I'm surprised about the lack of outrage re: the *law*; the public is basically catatonic under the media's influence; hardly anyone thinks original thoughts anymore, and many don't think at all.... Furthermore, we have become arrogant enough in this country that we generally think the law applies to everyone except ourselves. Very dangerous methinks....
