CVS COMMIT you idiot!!

I've just wasted the whole afternoon trying to figure out why our datafeeds system wasn't working on my testarea only to find out that the version on the product servers is completely different to the one in the CVS tree!! The guy who build the datafeed system (and so in this case is the only suspect for not keeping the cvs up to date) is the same bloody guy who pushed so hard for us to use cvs and ultimately set it all up!!

Heh, that sucks.

When I started here, the higher-ups were pushing to get everything into a source control system, and at the time, I disliked it because it seemed too inconvenient.

Now, I'm pretty much the only one here who uses it anymore, and I'd hate to be without it. :D

It's absolutely brilliant when people use it and when I realized I could roll back, my c**k ups suddenly didn't matter any more :D
