Restricting fTP

Hello all,

I have a quick question which doesnt particulary relate to PHP but was hoping someobody could help me out.

I have a website where users can make thier own 'radio' show. I.E they record whatever they like in mp3 form. I however would like to make a folder on my server where they can upload to rather than have them email it to me.

Is it possible to make a username which will only allow access to a particular folder and those within it?

Yes, it is possible. ;) How about creating a registration system and then restrict the access to where they upload...

I'm interested in your project. I used to manage and program direct a college radio station. Always curious about online radio but I've never dabbled in it.

thats what im looking at doping but not sure how to go about it. Ideally id prefer it if they could do it through an FTP client rather than through the browser.
