hey, i want to be appealing to employers as a web developer, ive been doing the jack of all trades thing (half deveoper, half designer) for a few years but i think its time to commit) so im wondering, what do i want to leran next?

Im already pretty profficient in PHP, actionscript, and can do most useful stuff in javascript. Do i wanna learn Java? it seems to be getting more and more obsolete these days. What about Vbasic? i dont really know what the hell thats about, or what its used for.

Anyway, if anyone has any advice, or can point me to something then that would be super cool.

Just speaking from experience: school degree and/or a list of work you've done and can demonstrate.

Check the want ads in your local area and find out what kind of jobs you want and what those jobs require (great way to determine if you need to know PHP or if you need to know Java).

Otherwise, learn as much as you can if you have the time...
