doesn't seem to work the way I want it to. It seems there are only two options:

1. Don't subscribe.
2. Subscribe, and get an email notification.

I would think there should be 3 options:

1. Don't subscribe
2. Subscribe, but only get links on your User CP page
3. Subscribe, AND get an email notification.

I wanted to turn off the email notification, because I don't really use them to get into PHP Builder. Yet, I still want a listing of all the thread I have subscribed to, and I want the system to automatically subscribe me to any thread I post in. WITHOUT the emails.

Am I just an idiot, and this is already an option? If not, is it doable?

Also... you asked a while back about a newsletter. Would it be possible to be notified about new emails on a scheduled basis? Instead of getting an email for each hit, you'd get one email per day, with all of the replies to your subscribed threads listed. I realize some people want to be immediately notified via email, but an option for a newsletter digest once a day would be nice.

Not so sure about the "subscribe to this thread" link, but I know the email can be turned off from the Edit Options page in your User CP. I like the digest email idea though, and use it with a couple other things.

I totally agree... I am not suggesting that it be removed.

What I am talking about is that I want to be automatically subscribed to any thread I either create or reply to, but I do NOT want to receive an email for every thread. I want the subscribed threads to be displayed on my user home page only.

Right now, it's both, or neither. I'd like to separate the two into two different options.
