Ok, I normally don't sign up for things online (hate spam), but the I, Robot site looked cool. I became a member of the site, which also means they send me a newsletter every so often.

I would rather not receive the newsletter, so of course, an advanced company like 20th Century Fox should offer me an opportunity to unsubscribe, right?

Well, apparently, they are still in early 20th Century, because this was at the bottom of my email:You may unsubscribe by sending a written request to:20th Century Fox, 10201 West Pico Blvd.
Attn: E-mail Unsubscribe, Los Angeles, Ca. 90035.
Please include your email address and date of birth for verification purposes.:queasy:

So... let me see if I have this straight. You have the incredible technology to make it seem as if Will Smith is interacting with thousands of robots, but not to allow me to unsubscribe from your email list using a simple HTML link?

If I wasn't so miffed, I'd probably laugh at the irony. That settles it -- I am boycotting the movie.

Well...

I have been looking forward to the movie, and I am a big Asimov fan (don't get my started on the disparity between the existence of personal robots and Susan Calvin's apparent age...), so I will go see the movie. But I am not buying any popcorn. Or at least, it'll be a small popcorn.

Better yet, mail it to:20th Century Fox, 10201 West Pico Blvd.
