I am a student, and may have the chance to work on an IT helpdesk.

Any opinions or advice, before i get offered an interview, or maybe even start the job?

Yeah, unless you're really short on cash then don't. You'll just get pissed off by lusers asking why they can't log on when their caps lock is on.

</bitter rant>

Remember majority of people who ring helpdesk are not as computer ilterate as you so you need to explain things thorough, and dont assume anything.

And always have fun and make sure you get call out of the ordinary that is completely stupid to add to the list of IT Helpdesk calls ;)

If i do get the job it will be a 2 month temporary contract. I wonder if i wll get more money for that then ?

I will make a page on my site devoted to stupid calls :-)
