Hello, everyone in the PHP community before you bash me, I have read every manual and tutiural I could. I try to do this on my own and failed. Now it is time for me to get the big guns, You Guys. I need help installing PHP (any version), and MySQL (any version). I have Apache install but I dont know what it is doing. I am trying trying to start my own Bitorrent tracker site, since I want ot give back to that community because it saved me money on software I could never afford. Can some one give me a step by step installation help. I know that is asking a lot but I need help once I get these things installed I can pick & play with it till I learn and maybe one day master it. I am currently on WinXP Home Edition. I here the cgi verzion of PHP is crap. I would love realtime help add me to you IM services my names are in my profile.

what problem(s) did occur when you tried it yourself ?

The steps required to install php along with apache 2 are the ones described at

http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.apache2.php#install.apache2.windows

So in order to get an idea of what went wrong with your installation I need to know what exactly didn't work.

Thank You Guys. I will check the things out, but please check the board regularly just in case I have a problem. I also have another question does PHP-Nuke have anything to do with PHP the one we are talking about. I am about to get access to a server that I can test my work out on it is setup allready for PHP and MySQL. I do not want anything fancy I just want to beable to do cool things like have my community members sign in. Have a cool design, database all my stuff. I allmost messed my computer registery up messing with MySQL I do not want to go thru that again. ALL in ALL thanx
