Why this JS error?

Why would I get the Object Required error on this line in all your javascript files?

OAS_RICH(pos);

The error comes up about 5 times when navigating to any
page on this site.

It's code written by the ad providers not controlled by the authors of the site. Go and bug the ad providers about it not the site maintainers :)

I'm not bugging you, just pointing it out. Which ad provider's
js does this?
If you KNOW about it, pull their ads until they fix the damn thing.
That will get their attention.

It went away when I removed the line from my hosts file
something like this:

127.0.0.1 mxjads.internet.com

That doesn't, however, mean that they shouldn't be warned that
that is happening.
