PHP scripts don't finsh

We have php5.1, Windows 2000, Apache 2, and we just installed phpMyAdmin. None of the php scripts ever seem to finish and draw entire html pages, and they show strang binary characters in the output.

I can't decide if this is an apache problem or php problem. Even a test script with the phpinfo() command doesnt run to completion

anyone seen this? any ideas?

I've installed the following the last few days and am running fine with no problems:

Windows 2000
Php 5.0.1
mySQL 4.0.20d
Apache 2.0.50
