Evening guys,

So this is my website www.innovativedesigns.org.uk
I think it is time to start a complete fresh drop the ego/theory 7 look. I plan to keep all the backend of the site and design new front and with that a new domain name.

I am not doing so good @ thinking up a new domain name, i thought maybe foobar-designs.co.uk/com

Could you have a look over my site or maybe suggest a site domain name for a freelance web developer.
I have just landed a small contract and need to be registered as a bussiness
I dont want to use innovativedesigns.org.uk.

Cheers
Paul

I was just being sarcastic and silly actually. I personally hate flash and wish it would just go away.

1) Requires non-standard plug-in which everyone may not have and thereby limits your audience.

2) You have to buy the development environment.

3) I'm a code monkey and it's completely visual.

4) It's not printable.

5) It usually requires a lot more bandwidth

Those are the biggies.

Flash has grown to be a very widely used web devlopment tool.
static's on coverage/browser penetration can be found here:

Why do you need people you don't know to name your new domain? Really, it's kind of silly (unless that's what you had in mind).

I propose that it would be more fun for you to read around the web about branding and naming. If you've never been involved in a formal project to come up with a new name for a company it's a pretty creative exercise.

I think, ultimately, it would be much more educational than hearing what people around here have to say.

Good luck...v

Ps: Despite what Macromedia says, Flash is not "all that." The percentage may be high but how often do we come across sites that are so poorly done with Flash they are even worse than a bad html page? Often.

Everything has it's place, even those things that I hate. So while I do hate flash and generally dislike Java (at least java is progamming and not some graphics program that allows people to pretend to program, sorry but I'm a purist with my code) I do admit that both of them have their places. Though if I have a choice I will choose java before flash.

Hey look the creators of flash say it's great so you should believe them. If you expect me to read something about how great flash is then make sure it's from a third party source who has nothing to gain by saying good things about it.

Last time I checked MS says that windows, IE and VBScript are good solutions too.
