First question is what do designers use to make their sites all cool and interactive, do they use flash or some other program? Like the sites where everything is animated.
Second with PHPBB I cannot figure out how they do 1 part of their coding. When a person logs into their phpbb account they can see which posts where posted since the last time they logged in, that is pretty simple so far, but once that person reads one of the new posts it no longer comes up as new, but the other posts are still marked as new, How the heck are they able to code which one of the posts that person has viewed and which one he has not.
THanks

If they want to make a Flash site then they use Flash. Yep. I think I've made some ok interactive stuff without it...****, now I'm trying to redefine 'interactive' in my head.

Wouldn't the PHPBB forum be more helpful on this subject? They could be doing this a variety of ways...sessions, cookies, artificial intelligence prying into your mind...

When I come across a site where everything is animated, I figure I've had enough schnapps for one night.
