Make this a sticky.
It's rather incredible . . . and, if you don't hurry, it will pass us all by.
That someone with this (knowledge? talent? skill? wit? ailment? ;) ) should choose to waste it over and over and over and over on the rest of us marks this gentleman as someone to whom we should all offer at least a little respect, and probably a whole lot more.
I'll not continue, lest my eyes water, or, um, something ....

Thanks for sticking with us, (at us? alongside us? in the ribs? --- well, it was necessary, where'er 'twas) oh ye Mighty among the Coders....

WOW! New Zealand must be really boring ;)
No, but seriously, congratuations and thanks for all your help. I doubt there are many people on this board who haven't had help from you at some time or other (even if it was just telling them to RTFM or go away and write a proper question :D), I know you've answered a few of mine. Cheers!
Right, now where's all this free beer I was told about?!
/me barges in and heads straight for the bar

I've actually entertained thoughts of a rather remote possiblility that he's none other than Larry Ullman, Luke Welling(ton), {Get it?}, Leon Atkinson, or even Zeev himself.
Probably not true, but I basically cut my teeth on Ullman's book, and any growing that may (or may not?) have occurred happened on these boards.
If there's such as thing as "E-school teacher", Weed was probably it, knowingly or not (Probably "junior high coach") comes pretty close. (Stand up straight! Quit scratching! Get a move on! Let's do it again the **right way**....)

Congrats Weedpacket! Now you're just a few posts off vincente. You can build that up in a month, no problem :D.

Pulling his shirt back on, Weedpacket comes back to the bar. Gratefully accepting a butterscotch schnapps from Elizabeth ("You remembered!") he sits himself on the bartop mat and addresses the gathered crowd.
"Well, thank you for this kind surprise. I'm not going to make a speech, 'cos I'm terrible at them. Maybe when I get to 10000, yeah? If I keep my rate up that will be sometime in mid June.
"But in the meantime I will raise a toast to dalecosp, who seems to have little better to do with his time than act as the site's social historian. Little seems to escape him and his squad of faithful scripts. He claims to not know who I actually am (I don't think Zeev's ever been to NZ), but I suspect that it's a ruse - he's probably got everyone's inside leg measurements squirrelled away in a database somewhere and come Christmas will surprise us all with tailored green tights and the news that we'll all be playing elves in a North Junior High panto ("No, don't worry! I know some guys they'll be glad to help out!").
"Cheers! Salut! Yamas! and whatever other term you may wish to add!
"And now I have to get down from here and change my pants. I think I've wet them."

Suddenly the pub door slams open and convesation stops. The person standing silhouetted against the night, the only illumination the flashing blue neon above the entrance, calls out two words and everyone relaxes.
"jayant! Where the hell have you been?!!"

Good question … at home, which is a nice change of pace for the usual regimen of work. I was secretly dating Britney Spears for sometime at her home but found that she's not my type, so... then went to Aniston's but she seemed too busy with her friends Ross/Fibie etc, so came back to my home.
Was busy analyzing a few ideas I had. One was creating a new website. bought the domains, got the hosting, but then it seemed as if it might not be feasable enough as google was the competitor in that area. another idea is writing a book on php5. the book has not been written yet on that topic and deserves extensive research before writing
But tonight, we continue the party...
/me offers everyone a beer
/me takes a sweet lime juice

I have Atkinson/Suraski's "PHP5 Core Programming", but was disappointed to find that is was mostly just the manual. A couple nice chapters, though.

I say we do like candles on a birthday cake (or whatever your preferred ritual be), but in this case, Weedpacket downs a shot for every post he's made. Even doing shots of schnapps, that should provide for a very interesting night :D

Sure, then one or the other.
Either a) bail or b) hospital bill
Knowing Weed....I'd put my money on bail.

Weedpacket looks blearily around the bar, wondering why jayant's avatar now has two eyes (part of him makes a mental note to keep an eye out for PHP5 for Hollywood Stalkers and another part of him gets into a fit of giggles over the phrase "keep an eye out").
He glares at the table in front of him as the glasses glitter like an Escher tiling rendered in crystal, hating the blatant alliteration.
"Someone help me out here. I think I've lost my place."
