I am having some trouble figuring out what is exactly going on here in this AJAX Example: http://www.modernmethod.com/sajax/

In section 3, the following:

x_multiply(x, y, set_math_result);

What is with the 3rd argument? What do you send a function as the 3rd argument?

With all this in mind, is there a way to simply translate prewritten functions to utilize the ajax method? Anyone know of any documentation for AJAX? I have read about 20 articles on how great it is, but none really have any information about how to implement. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Brian

I would feel guilty about taking first reply without giving a sollution but for three reason
1. Echo loung is for idle chat so drunk people are allowed to talk rubbish in answer to any thread they please :D
2. You're a couple of months ahead of the time for easily accesable support with ajax, it's a pretty new technology and therefore doesn't have a lot of support out there for it. Sorry, but that's just how it is
3. When I started this post I had three reasons but I've forgotten the third. If I remeber it I'll be sure to say but I can garuntee you now that it won't be much help.

Sorry
