ecommerce script for easy usage

I need to find a quick solution to a problem. I need some sort of a 'store front' for my site. It needs to have a shopping cart, catalog, registration etc... It needs to look proffesional but most important it has to be FREE. Im using linux and mySQL. Does someone know of any site where i can download it and modify it a little to make it suited for my site?

zen cart is a nice 'thing' though consider this as i experienced it

downs:
- support is quite poor
- the code is one big heap of crap and therefor extremely slow
- it has way to many functions ( i got lost all the time )
- its to limited in integrating in other websites
- overal performance is quite poor cuz of the crappy code in several modules

ups:
- its a complete shop
- easy to navigate (if it works)
- solid and secure members area
- lots and lots of additional modules and language packs

Just some things i noticed in the few months i used zen cart for my website... :queasy:
