So... what do you think? I think it still tastes like crap, myself. I prefer The Real Thing®.

I have yet to try splenda. Is splenda supposed to taste more like sugar? I could never drink diet drinks as they have this funny taste to them.

Yeah, splenda is a sugar free sweetener made from sugar IIRC. It doesn't have the funny after taste of sweeteners like nutrisweet.

Splenda itself tastes fine. I think there is something else they do to Diet Coke that gives it a different taste than regular Coke. I still don't like the taste, but I don't think it has anything to do with Splenda. However, it doesn't have that nasty NutraSweet aftertaste.

Splenda? Never heard of it even!

Can you send a can over the electronic freeway?

Diet Coke is not merely Coca Cola with the sugar/fructose removed and a substitute inserted, as most "Diet" colas are. Diet Coke, IIRC, was created as a completely new entity/formula...which is why it really doesn't taste like Coca-Cola Classic (Now, New Coke was actually the "diet-process" in reverse: they took Diet Coke, removed the nutrasweet, and reinserted fructose syrup)

As far as the Diet Coke with Splenda...haven't had it yet. All I know is that in exactly 10 days I'm back on the real stuff. :D
