:)

85% finished is your CMS
Looks like a good job, TimTimTimma.

I guess you have done some changes from this code in Code Critique.
Code Critique CMS backend (http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?threadid=10300722)

Questions:
1. How much is changed from that source in forum Code Critique?
2. You plan for any Beta Testing Members Group?
3. If yes. Where do I ask for being a member of such a group?

Maybe halojoy should use this CMS at his website.
Hope it does not involve MySQL.
Because if, this is not a halojoy alternative.
Sorry, but halojoy believes in PHP, not in MySQL.

PHP Can do well without MySQL. Even much better!
but ... MySQL would not do well without PHP.
SQLite as a part of PHP Distribution, like in PHP5, is a step in right direction.
PHP Own Database Class would be ultimate and best way to go.

1. How much is changed from that source in forum Code Critique?

ALOT...

visit http://timtimtimma.com/backend_source.php to check out the difference from the very original post to the newest running version

2. You plan for any Beta Testing Members Group?

Yes, I plan on surveying a few people to beta test it.

3. If yes. Where do I ask for being a member of such a group?

There is currently no signup for beta testing, it will become available when its at 100% complete and the staff and I are testing its capabilities.

As far as you using it and hoping it doesn't involve mysql, I am afraid its rather mysql driven. However if it succeeds as a mysql db driven website, I may decide to try an develop an sqlite version of it in the future but that totally depends on how successful it is as it is currently.

Okay.
Thanks for good reply to my questions.
Can be a very good CMS with MySQL, too.
Real smart programmers make a all database functions
a separate module, 'database layer',
so easy to use any database or flat file for data storage.

One of many good example of this modern way to program is:
Swedish designed PunBB free bulletin board http://punbb.org/

All database functions are put into one 'db_functions_dblayer.php'
that is included of forum pages.
This makes it very easy to write a new db-layer for any DataBase you want to use.
You can download and have a look how to do such a db_layer.php
Download PunBB free Bulletinboard Code (http://www.punbb.org/about.php)

The opposite would be to have any page that makes database operation
using direct mysql commands, like CREATE SELECT INSERT or whatever. This would make it a nightmare to write a database mod for alternative DB.

In the same way, good programmers separate PHP Code from HTML Templates output code.
As much as possible.

What is the difference between PHPublisher and other content management systems?
i really dont think that whole section where you write off other cms's is a very professional approuch. maybe it could be reworded in such a way so as to not name names.

just an idea.

A few spelling errors maybe using a word processor would be good to get rid of those.

Sure your able to use PHPBBs emoticons? Even though its under GPL I still think you may need to ask especially since its got nothing to do with PHPBB.

Screenshots, well yea they dont look exactly professional in my opinion. Crop them so only the webpage is displayed instead of showing that you use Evil IE and use Windows.

Also that source file you displayed, I hope if you plan to distribute it there will be Comments in them. Most developers like seeing them they just find them hard to add.

I guess I cant do much critiquing until its finished but its not looking too bad.

I know a PHP Nuke website when I see one.

Gre/ay is a nice colour in moderation. Too much of it makes things look bland. Look at the pride flag, see the rainbow, now let the colour coordinating queen come out in YOU!
