No, I've not taken up crack again (come on, I never gave it up;)). However, after a few years submerging myself in psychedelic electronica I've finally found a rock band which really presses all the right buttons. I've just come back from seeing Sigur Ros at Somerset House near Waterloo in London, England and they were amazing. I got a little bored with rock because it seemed as though every band was producing the same noises just shuffled around in different ways but this band is a little different. When was the last time you saw one girl running a bow down a saw while another was running her fingers round wine glasses and the both of them kicking out amazing sounds? When was the last time you saw a lead guitarist using a bow on his guitar while the bassist was tapping his with a drum stick (you would not belive what a nice noise that makes). These guys were the most inovative rock band I've seen in, well, forever. If there's more **** like this out there I may be making my way back into the world of rock. If this is what rock is now then rock rocks!
