Hi.

I've only been here for a few hours yet, but I have often visited this forum via google.
Maybe it's just me, but this forum is slow! It takes forever to navigate through threads and forums. ... A simple search took 22 sec!!

I dont know how this forum is set up, hosting conditions, etc, but something is slowing it serious up.. :bemused:

i have no speed probs here. in fact i think this is one of the faster boards i frequent. the devshed forums are terribly slow (much more ad content to load).

Theres quite a lot of ad content here as well not any were near as much as DevShed, there are also a ton of JScript Errors (not that it would affect speed), perhaps try pinging and/or traceroute more than likely there is something in the middle slowing you down, its usually my problem when I notice it lagging a little.

I have the same problem when I use IE6, so I come here with Firefox and don't have any issues. If you are using IE6, try another browser. There is some issue going on with IE as it's slowed down a lot over the last month or so. I'm still trying to figure out why.

I really dont know about IE6 issues. I've used Mozilla since v0.4 and switched to Firefox at v0.8.
Its like, the page is 'heavy'. Ok, I dont know the impact of my many extensions. Think the Tidy Validator and js console takes some ressources as well as adblock, theme and toolbars does.
hmm.

anyway, where's the server located ?

Note to self: Test phpBuilder.com/forum/ whenever firefox gets reinstalled. ;)

Today it seems fine. Maybe I've just hit it with the crowd in my back ;)

...adblock...That would explain the Javascript errors.

If you're using adblock you can use a plugin called greasemonkey to sort em out ;)

But thats a whole different story.
