Yeah, I can see it. Is the national firewall really causing as many problems as they say?

I like hearing from the Chinese. What happened to our last Chinese poster in here (who had all the photos for us)?

Surfchen, where do Chinese folks go for PHP talk (forums). I'm sure there must be some big ones that are not in English.

Being a hack linguistics anthropologist (when I can be one) it's interesting how in the PHPX forum they have less threads (~50k) but more posts (~325k) and in PHPBuilder you have threads (~70k) but fewer posts (~260k).

Thanks for posting those...we certainly are very curious about what's going on in China these days. ;)

I think that just means that here you get a lot more spammers. Or, perhaps it means there is a higher newbie/expert ration here...

Well, statistically you get more posts per thread over there...it's kind of interesting on so many threads...

The Averages:
------------------------------------------
6.5 posts per thread at PHPX.
3.7 posts per thread at PHPBuilder.

And I'm talking specifically regarding the forums that deal directly with PHP 'coding' on each site (not the newbies thread here).

Hmm, I'm not sure...

The site seems to come up OK, but some of the text has these funny characters in it. Maybe I need to check my Mozilla settings......

:D :D
