Well, maybe if you had been, we'd already have those antigrav cars and general public space travel which 2000AD led me to expect would be here! Now go back to the lab and make us something wonderful!

I pushed sally over in the play ground 'coz she said I was smelly, then me a John and Will went up to the back of the field and thew stones at the conker tree so we could get conkers for playing conkers with. I had tenner before John beat it with a oner, it's not fair, my tenner was really really good and John stamped on it. Aw no, Sally's coming, she's gonna beat me up for pushing her over now :( ow, stop hurting me :(

"He set a record by completing elementary, junior-high and high school curricula in just nine months - a progression that normally takes Koreans 12 years - before being admitted to university."

Holy ....

I think I was hitting a wiffle ball behind the house with my dad or playing hide and go seek.

On the physical side of amazing children there was that pre-pubescent body builder and now there's a three year old marathon runner!

Y'know, I probably wasn't doing much that was noteworthy.

I was in 3rd grade. I was taking piano lessons. I was hanging out in dark corners of the playground with a girl named Christine (who let me look down her shirt, and ended up, in junior high, being sent away to a private school when it was found she was having "visitors" in via the window at night --- fortunately for me, I suspect, my family had moved away when I was nine).

I do remember that this year I received my only spanking in school (yes, they still did it then). It was for standing on my chair (when the teacher was out of the room) and imitating Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli --- just as she walked back in (which explains why I couldn't play "the Fonz" too well ... bad timing ;) ). Incidentally, the teacher, Mrs. Jean, was near retirement, and my father had been in one of her first classes, some thirty-four years earlier.

** The story of my life, loosing at conkers and getting beaten up by girls ** Yeah, IIRC Christine beat me up once, or something like that. IIRC, I was hitting her in the stomach, but her coat was unzipped, and it was cold outside, so I ended up scraping up my knuckles pretty bad on her metal zipper....

So, Elizabeth, thank you so much for dragging all that up again :D

What did I do when I was 8... I cycled into a lamppost... that was fun - and I broke my leg.. running to play football..

Yes that was right - running TO play football - not actually playing... serves me right for running in football studs... :xbones:

Apart from that - being chased around by the girls at school was always fun... although they did have the same effect as Dalecosp's... lots of punching and I was always told never to hit girls... just wish they were told the same... !!!

I broke mine when I was 11, playing freeze tag. I had a full-length leg cast for 2 months. Such a good look, especially when you're a total dork to begin with :)

(Oh and you're welcome Dalecosp :) )

I was learning to play the violin. Needless to say that it was very screechy.

'Tis a difficult thing to play, from my experience....

Well, now that I've been playing for eight years, it's gotten much better. Hopefully :)

Surprisingly, though, at the age of 8, I wasn't very interested in computers at all. In fact, until about Grade 7, I knew less about computers than most people. Now people ask me questions about computers (which I can't answer anyway, so why bother? :D)

Age 8. ... Picture it 1985

Reagan and vice president Bush were cracking down on the the nice guys on my corner who were selling crack rock. I miss those guys.

My father used to walk around the house naked singing "We Are The World". . ...because of this, I never could have friends over.

Alot of "G.I. Joe" toys

Madonna's "Like a Virgin" was a chart topping smash hit. ... . I loved Madonna & Prince.

I was in private school where the Nuns would beat you with a paddle. ... .yeah they did that at my school too. . .

I'll stop there.
