Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : Place to sell things?
Hi,
I didn't want to just post and find out that It's frowned upon so I thought I'd ask.
Theoretically speaking if I had bought a license for a script which I no longer need now and was allowed to sell that license where can I post it? The echo lounge maybe?
Thanks

Yeah that would definitely be removed immediately. Thanks for asking though. We remove all commercial links and ads posted.
OK thanks for the Re:
Have you guys considered adding a spot like that? You could charge for the service and make a few bucks like sitepoint does. Just a thought...

eBay
eBay is fine and good but if your looking to sell something thats php related to someone that might actually understand what php is you might think to look for a place that already has over 70,000 like minded individuals. The point is it's a focused arena. I would consider eBay a craps shoot in this case, the odds are on the house. But just to be fair I exercised the last resort option and already have an auction going, it started this morning.

If you can code an app, you can code a web site.
Sell it there. :)

Bah, misread your post. Sorry for the noise.
Not a problem dalecosp :o
eBay didn't pan out after all... I got a few questions on it from the type of crowd that has no clue what the difference between html and php and a web server is. Lucky me, I had a $5.00 credit and the auction didn't cost me anything! :D It was a learning experience, I learned that I'm probably gonna have to eat the loss for my theoretical license.

I realize this is rather a late post to a most likely abandoned topic, but there are sites out there that freelance PHP (and a plethora of other languages/services) can be hired for a project.
There is also a couple sites I've seen where someone can sell their program they've already made. Which would include your licensing idea.
I'm not quite sure of the URL's to the sites, and I've never actually used either type before, but I'm sure with a few moments of googling / scanning you could find them. They're pretty much everywhere. Some big, some not so big. Almost all of them have secure transactions and some type of garuntee for payment and delivery of product.
And well, if I'm causing havoc or un wanted attention to this topic I apologize, just thought I'd let it be (somewhat)common knowledge.
Hey that's constructive. I'll look into that, thanks!
