Explain your username

I've been in this forum community for some time now and have seen some funny and wierd names, such as weedpacket (Cool name dude). I thought i might start thread to let pll explain how and why they use these names, some strange, some funny, some rl normal.

My username was created on the spot when i started a account for "America's Army" online game and from then on i have been know as Megahertza or Mega. My rl name is Dean Bowden.

easy to use a fire themes in my sigs and wallies.

the 3k on the end was just coz someone else already had pyro so i added it to make it unique.

Used it in SWAT3 multiplayer as I always ended up being the element leader (crappy job but someones gotta do it :P) the name just kinda stuck after that.

I was signing up for a yahoo email and was typing too fast and forgot the l. I sure was excited, though, when I thought I actually got an email with my real name in it! :rolleyes:

My name came from the Jet Force Gemini (N64) game I played when I was 7 and liked. I decided my screen name would be Lupus, a character, followed by the year, which came from that one Will & Grace ep I watched (that show sucks! but it was "Jack 2000"). So I made Lupus2000. Then I just changed it annually, and last year I made 00 into "k" for kilo, so that's it.

Back in 95 when I had (ugh) AOL my screenname was NtrplntJnt (as in Interplanet Janet from schoolhouse rock fame) but then everyone I knew from online called me "janet" all the time - lesson learned: be normal, or people will call you funny things. :) For instance, weedpacket will always be "weedpacket" or "weed" - no getting around that one.
