New Webmail Client

Hi all. I'd just like to bring to the attention of the community in whole of a new Webmail project.

I'm sure that we've all seen Horde, NeoMail, or SquirrelMail. I'm sure we've all worked with them in one fashion or another. And of course, I'm sure you can see some of the pitfalls of each software. Enter a new webmail client: Roundcube Webmail (http://www.roundcube.net)

Roundcube is a webmail client written in PHP with a database backend. It is driven by AJAX and has a sleek look. It's currently in the beta stage (0.1-beta) but is very solid for a beta.

I think it's pretty good...has some quirks...worthy stuff...

However...I hear rumblings that we are soon to be graced with something better but since it's a rumor there isn't much more to say about it.

Yeah, that's the ticket - use an ancestral family name and the name of a former favorite student of mine, don't put it in your board-username, and then expect an old fart to remember it. :D

Now I just gotta figure out the last 'Brett' that I knew, and make an association....

I'd love to change it.... but alas JP hasn't enabled this option... and I don't wish to burden him with all he's doing..... plus I don't want to lose my post-count.... worked too hard for it....

yeah.. it's an "old project".

they are just getting started in many ways.

just recently they have added there user forums and wiki. and for me... I would say this should be there from step one.
