Wow! This evening piersk (http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/member.php?u=132282) and I took Queen E (http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/member.php?u=138123) and Princess Dayna (http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/member.php?u=106443) "out on the town" (E's been way too busy lately and in need of a "breather")--- had quite a great time as she introduced us to all the PHP celebs she's met as a writer, speaker, and community blogger. Piersk showed us his fave London nightspots before we went over the Channel to see Bunkermaster's (http://phpbuilder.com/board/member.php?u=135007) bunker.
For this occasion, Wrox.com (http://www.wrox.com) gave us a limo (http://www.nlslimo.com/limousines/exotic2.htm) complete with wet bar, big screen LCD and DVD combo, 650W stereo, satellite 11Mbps uplink and 4-person Jacuzzi (won't say what went on there (http://university.imdb.com/title/tt0087418/), being a 'gentleman' and all, and if Piersk does, we're all in big trouble if someone in particular (http://www.naramore.net/photos/albums/userpics/10001/Pict0080.jpg) finds out).
For a nightcap they flew us via secret military technology to a club in New Zealand, where we saw a fellow that looked suspiciously like Weedpacket (and had a slight whiff of schnapps) dancing mostly naked on the bar with a fake tattoo that said "YAPHPT" in binary. Piersk was off somewhere with Dayna, and while I kept a watchful eye on the Queen, E, having had more O'Douls (http://www.odouls.com/) than she should have at this point, hollered loudly "Hey, I'm Bambi Judd! (http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/showthread.php?t=10239837)" and began stuffing his G-string full of G-notes; I just enjoyed the fact that she was actually having a good time, and looked forward to the starsh^h^h^h^h^h^h plane ride back to Louisville to drop her off ;) ;). Of course, where Piersk and I are going to get $3700 to replace her grocery funds for April we're just not at all sure ATM.
In other news, Microsoft purchased the Zend corporation today for $113 million USD (http://phpro.org/articles/Microsoft-Purchases-Zend-for-$113-Million.html).
Finally, if you believe any of this, you've not noticed the date of this post (http://www.phpbuilder.com/board/calendar.php?do=getinfo&day=2006-4-1&c=1) at the very least; it's also possible you're not familiar with the significance (http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/top100.html) of said date. I might also add that these "regulars", as far as I know, are people of generally good character, and the events suggested are entirely fictional and will *never* happen; any resemblance to actual events is entirely coincidental. But didn't we need *something* here for today?
