While Firefox may not be up to its seventh version like Internet Explorer, it certainly surpassed Internet explorer in just it's first release. Now, developers are looking forward to completing work on Firefox 2, the next Firefox release.
It may be tough to actually download the beta, as a lot of people seem to be going after it, but if you wait long enough, you can grab your piece of the pie ;)

... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm how about no.
If I see one more "you're using IE, switch to FF" message I am going to have to scream and then develop my own browser to communicate with your toaster (I'll be using Java) and then it will BURN your toast every time... therefore... causing chaos... no body likes BLACK burnt toast do they... NO... it's like ashes in your mouth... ashes... in your mouth
OoO the tablets are purple today :D
IE7, FF2 - Oh the pain. I just want ONE browser that works. NONE of them do so shut up... because NONE of them do... sure they are getting close but they ALL are... not supportive of web standards.
Where's my coffee!

Note!
When you install this beta,
it will replace your Original Firefox version.
Your bookmarks and settings will be kept as before.
I could see no option to install beta 'side by side' with my Default version.
