I am reallly curious to understand how much is the income of coders/computer geeks around the world.

I think that could be useful to list:

- Country (and State/Region for big countries..) in which you work/live
- Age
- Study title
- Years of work experience
- Experience in which field
- Current field of occupation

- Gross (= before taxes) Income (per Year)
- Health care provided for free by your Country? If not, how much do you spend (per year) in health care insurance?
- Are national pension contributes included in the taxes applied on your gross income? Or do you have your own private pension contributes and how much do you spend for it (per year)?

Master of Science in Computer Engineering (in Italy it was a 5 years university course and called simply "computer engineering)

- Years of work experience
I just worked 6 month after finishing university
During university I had some occasional work, for a total of about 6 month of work, if I sum up all the little period of working.

- Experience in which field
During the university I studied about UML, software engineering, SQL and databases, Entity-Relationship diagrams, networks, operating systems, electronics, hardware design and many science subjects: math, physics, chemistry, statistics, and other subject the in the italian "engineering" course are considered to be the "basic" for every engineering field.

during work experience in the university years, i mainly worked with PHP, Mysql.

- Current field of occupation
Programming with Coldfusion, Java and PHP
Databases: MySQL and SQL Server

- Gross (= before taxes) Income (per Year)
about 21k euro per year, about (27k US dollars per year)

- Health care provided for free by your Country? If not, how much do you spend (per year) in health care insurance?
Provided for free

- Are national pension contributes included in the taxes applied on your gross income? Or do you have your own private pension contributes and how much do you spend for it (per year)?

Pension are provided by state, and contributes are included in the taxes, but if you want to have a good income when you will be in pension, you should add a private pension to the national one.
